NARTHEX NEWS – MARCH 9, 2008

The FLOWERS today are in loving memory of Kenneth Rigoulot, father of Ken Rigoulot.

The text FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 16, PALM SUNDAY, is Luke 19:28-40.  The sermon title is “The Stones Would Shout Out.”

The WORSHIP MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 16 will be the Gloria Choir, Creative Youth Ensemble, and the Sanctuary Choir at both services.

Please continue advising the church office with announcements by 10:00 a.m. each Thursday.

The Fellowship Committee wants to remind everyone of the EASTER BRUNCH being held between the two Easter Morning Services.  It begins immediately after the 8:30 service and will end at 10:45 in time for those who will attend the second service.  If you plan on both bringing an egg dish and attending the 8:30 service, drop your casserole off at the Fellowship Hall before attending and a Fellowship Committee member will set it up for serving.  Second service attendees bring it to the Fellowship Hall kitchen, and we will see that it immediately gets onto the brunch table.  No serving utensils are necessary.

Fellowship is happy to announce a change in SHIFT TIMES FOR THE COFFEE BAR.  1st shift is now 8:00 - 10:45.  2nd shift is now 10:45 to cleanup.  This new schedule allows those who volunteer for 2nd shift to attend Sunday School.  If you’ve wanted to volunteer but hesitated due to Sunday School, please take advantage of these new times by signing up in the coffee bar.

It’s Lent, and before you know it, it will be Easter.  Help celebrate our Risen Christ through a beautiful EASTER LILY.  Sign-up sheets are in the Perking Lot, and the cost is just $10.00.  Vicky Betzer painstakingly removes the stamen and pollen from these lilies, so they won’t stain your clothing or cause you to sneeze.  Support the church by ordering—and paying for—your lily today.
